Golden Dragon
The Golden Dragon born in 1988: 2027
The Dragon and the Sheep have no special pull or friction. That leaves the stem of your birth year to shape the year more than the sign does.
The Yin Fire of 2027 warms Yang Earth (戊), the stem of your birth year. Help from the people around you arrives without being asked for.

If your day pillar is 戊辰
A 戊辰 day pillar is a great mountain (戊) sitting on damp spring earth (辰). The same energy supports it from below, so the roots are firm and the will does not bend easily.
Questions
Is 2027 a samjae year for the Dragon?
2027 is not one of your samjae years. The Dragon's next three difficult years begin in 2034.
Born in January or early February? Which year counts?
In saju the year does not change on January 1. It changes at Ipchun, the start of spring, around February 4 each year. So anyone born between January 1 and that day takes the previous year's pillar and animal sign.
What does 2027 hold for the Golden Dragon born in 1988?
Help arrives, and your birth year sets the tone. Smooth months: Feb, Aug, Sep, Dec. Months to be careful: Jan, Apr, Oct, Nov.
How is the sign different from the day pillar?
Your sign is the two characters of your birth year, and your day pillar is the two characters of your birth day. A chart has eight characters, so both are part of it, and the day pillar is the one that stands for you.
