Red Rat
The Red Rat born in 1996: 2027
The Rat and the Sheep meet in both a harm and a resentment. This is less a year of big accidents than of small words that leave a sting.
Yang Fire (丙), the stem of your birth year, is the same fire as 2027. Confidence and drive build, and so does the risk of running too hot.

If your day pillar is 丙子
A 丙子 day pillar is the midday sun (丙) sitting on midwinter water (子). The energy below shapes the one above, a nature that disciplines itself and hardens with time.
Questions
Is 2027 a samjae year for the Rat?
2027 is not one of your samjae years. The Rat's next three difficult years begin in 2034.
Born in January or early February? Which year counts?
In saju the year does not change on January 1. It changes at Ipchun, the start of spring, around February 4 each year. So anyone born between January 1 and that day takes the previous year's pillar and animal sign.
What does 2027 hold for the Red Rat born in 1996?
Drive runs high and can overheat, and small words can sting. Smooth months: Jan, Apr, Aug, Nov. Months to be careful: Mar, Jun, Jul, Sep.
How is the sign different from the day pillar?
Your sign is the two characters of your birth year, and your day pillar is the two characters of your birth day. A chart has eight characters, so both are part of it, and the day pillar is the one that stands for you.
