Day-branch clashes are weighed with other factors, and favorable Saenggi, Cheonui and Bokdeok conditions receive their bonus when present. Traditional conditions inform the assessment; weights and rating thresholds are set by the app and do not represent the probability of an event.

Choose For Two just above the reading button and the coming year for the two of you is read month by month. It costs one credit like any reading and is saved separately from your lifetime compatibility reading.

It is open from October 15 to March 31. From October 15 to December it reads the next year; from January to March it reads the current year.

From April 1 to October 14 a new For Two reading is not available. The compatibility reading is available all year.

A For Two reading you saved can still be opened, and you can keep asking follow-up questions, during that time. If you have one saved, the choice above the reading button stays.

Type the hour and minute in the ⏱ Birth time box, in 24-hour time. 3:10 pm is 15:10.

Your clock time is converted to the sun's real position over your birthplace (true solar time). The line under the box shows the steps, like 15:10 clock → 15:29 true solar time → the 申 hour.

With a time, the Hour Pillar adds two more characters and your chart is read on all eight. Readings on children, later life (from 46) and the Life Palace depend on it.

If your time sits near the edge of an hour, or a solar term changes that day, we say so right under the Birth time box.

We correct for longitude and daylight saving. We leave out the equation of time, which matches the Korean almanacs you might check us against.

The Rat Hour: born late at night

In saju the day does not turn at midnight. It turns when the Rat Hour begins, around 11 pm by the sun. In Seoul that is 11:32 pm on the clock, and it moves with your birthplace.

We take the day as turning when the Rat Hour opens. So if you were born at 11:40 pm in Seoul, your Day Pillar comes from the next day. Your Hour Pillar is the Rat Hour either way.

Some schools keep the hour before midnight on the same day. Neither is wrong. They simply start from different premises. We follow the majority view and apply it the same way every time.

Just type your birth time. The engine sorts out which side of the line you fall on.

Tap Calculate Saju and today's fortune appears under your chart, free. Tap "Get" beneath it to receive the day's fortune as an alert every morning. You can turn it on or off any time.

Alerts need Google sign-in and a saved birth date, and they follow the chart that was on screen when you tapped "Get". They work in Android Chrome right away. On iPhone, add the app to your Home Screen first (in-app browsers like Instagram are not supported).

Clearing your browser's cookies turns alerts off. Just switch them back on.

Once your chart is ready, the date card opens by itself. Pick New Start / Opening, Moving, Exam or Birth (women) and it finds good days. The next two months are free. Opening all twelve months needs credits.

Each date is assessed through its pillars, Twelve Officers and avoidance conditions, alongside your applied Vital Element, Support and Avoid elements and seasonal needs. So the same day scores differently for different people. For wedding dates, set the relationship to Romance in Compatibility.
