Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)
These terms govern the conditions and procedures for using the services provided by K-MUDANG (hereinafter "the Company"), including saju (Four Pillars of Destiny) analysis, compatibility readings, talismans (unlimited while credits remain) (hereinafter "the Service").

Article 2.1 (Face Reading Feature)
The Face Reading feature analyzes your face using your device camera, for entertainment and self-reflection. The captured video and facial coordinates are processed only within your browser, are never transmitted to or stored on a server, and are discarded immediately when analysis ends. This feature is not a scientifically validated prediction.

Article 2 (Nature of Service)
This Service provides entertainment and reference content based on traditional Eastern philosophy (Saju Myeongri). The results are not based on scientific or academic evidence and should not be used as the basis for important life decisions.

Calculation methods and differences between schools
The Four Pillars and solar-term transition times can be checked against calendar and astronomical data, the birth information entered and the time-correction settings applied. Judgments such as helpful elements, chart structure and Day Master strength can differ between schools, texts and studies because their methods and priorities differ. K-MUDANG applies its own rules informed by classical Ziping principles. It distinguishes the balancing element from the seasonal element; support and caution elements follow the balance method. Seasonal-element selection currently uses limited summer and winter conditions, rather than every classical prescription or the complete theory of a particular school.
Differences in element judgments, chart structure or interpretation from other schools, texts, studies, practitioners or services alone do not constitute a calculation error or service defect and are not grounds for a refund of services already used.
If the Four Pillars or solar-term transition times differ from our stated calculation method, we review the input and settings to check for an actual error. This does not limit statutory cancellation or refund rights for confirmed calculation or system errors, or services that differ from their advertised or agreed description.

Article 3 (Eligibility)
The Service is available to anyone aged 14 or older. The reading feature requires a Google account login.

Article 4 (Reading Services & Payments)
1. Basic features (saju chart generation, basic compatibility analysis) are free and available with unlimited use after a simple sign-in.
2. Paid services are provided as credit packages. Credits are one shared pool — a single purchase works for both Saju and Compatibility readings as well as follow-up questions:
- Credits Package Trial (￦9,900 (≈$7.50)): 3 credits + unlimited talismans & compatibility talisman cards
- Credits Package Starter (￦29,000 (≈$22)): 10 credits + unlimited talismans & compatibility talisman cards
- Credits Package Standard (￦55,000 (≈$41)): 20 credits + unlimited talismans & compatibility talisman cards
- MVP tier: granted automatically once payments over the past year total about $164, and kept for one year from that moment. While MVP, all locked content stays open and talisman generation is unlimited even with zero credits; 10 credits are gifted on promotion, on each renewal, and every December 27. If yearly payments total less than $164, the account returns to the regular tier.
3. Services are delivered immediately upon payment. As digital content, cancellation is restricted once the service has begun, in accordance with the E-Commerce Act.
4. Full refund is available within 7 days of purchase if the service has not been used. 'Unused' means 0 readings; even without a reading, viewing the premium analysis cards unlocked by payment or generating a talisman / compatibility talisman card counts as use of digital content and may restrict refunds. In addition, if a reading is interrupted or not produced normally because of inputs that run against the purpose of the service — such as requests to curse a third party, abusive language, or wishing misfortune on others — this does not constitute a service defect and is not grounds for a refund.
5. Card payments are processed via Toss Payments, and PayPal payments via PayPal. Refunds are issued to the original payment method (PayPal payments are refunded through PayPal).

Article 4-2 (Termination)
1. You may terminate this agreement at any time using "Delete account" at the bottom of the page.
2. On termination your account, saved readings and remaining credits are erased immediately and cannot be recovered.
3. Payment records are kept for five years as Korean e-commerce law requires, with your identity erased so the payment can no longer be traced to you.
4. If any of your payments qualify for a refund, request the refund before terminating. After termination we cannot verify your usage history, which makes a refund difficult to process.

Article 5 (Disclaimer)
1. The Company does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any Service results.
2. The Company is not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from use of the Service.

Article 6 (Intellectual Property)
All content, designs, and code of the Service belong to the Company. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution is prohibited.

Article 7 (Changes to Terms)
The Company may update these terms within the bounds of applicable law. Changes will be announced within the Service.
